Let me start by saying that this is a very basic start to a guide on disinfection services. There will be more added as contributions and time permit. If you’d like to contribute please email firstname.lastname@example.org
- Do not make any representation to any customer or client about a disinfection service being able to control, kill or prevent COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
- Many disinfectant chemicals are dangerous goods, flammable and have vastly different characteristics to pesticides. Ensure you read products labels and Safety Data Sheets.
Sample Standard Operating Procedures
You must develop your own SOP’s based on your unique situation. Your equipment, materials and skills will be able to guide the changes you’ll need to make.
The following sample has been provided by Ben Hansen of ProPest – it is loosely based on QLD Dept Health cleaning and disinfections procedures, Health.gov.au Online Training, QLD Gov Waste Disposal Guidelines.
Naturally the SOP document references the other documents provided. This should provide a good basis to commence the creation of your own SOP / procedures and so on.
Because Rapid Solutions required a signed acknowledgement from each client around Coronavirus claims and disinfection services I have prepared a document for which should satisfy this requirement. Adapt to your needs as needed.
Please note that this sample was produced on a best effort short time schedule basis and is constantly being reviewed. We’ll update this post with newer versions as they become available.
Rapid Clean – Infection Control Course (Online) $29.90 – Very basic and oriented around health care / aged care settings. Some foundational principles within – Certificate provided at the conclusion. Took me about 1-1.5 hours
Federal Health Department – Environmental cleaning and disinfection principles for COVID-19
Federal Health Department – Infection control training COVID19 – FREE
BSCAA – Infectious Cleaning Training – $29.70 – It appears after I completed the above Rapid Clean course that it is hospiced by Daniels Associates & BSCAA. Confused me too. They have a tailored course for ‘Clinical Cleaning’.
