This site (aka Project Pestie) is a temporary (we hope) resource base for the Professional Pest Management Industry in Australia. Independently managed by pesties, for pesties.
August 2020 – Preamble
Much of the content on this website is now dated and not so relevant to most of you. Victorian Pestie’s being the notable exception. Sadly if this thing keep spreading into other states you’ll have a lot of well oiled advice and guidance I am sure the rest of you can pick-up from us Victorians.
If you need something, say something. Post on one of the industry Facebook groups and start a conversation – it still amazes me how well we can support one another and that was the very intention of this project website we have here!
I am very time poor and so haven’t maintained this website since things cooled down in the Covid space…. I’ve left everything in place as a reference and for prosperity, however it’s heating up again in Victoria and I’m dedicating very tailored and specific energy for the Victorian industry presently – most of which you will find on the Victorian Pest Technicians Group on Facebook.
I’m still very much willing and able to help where I can so please don’t hesitate to email me email@example.com
The focus of this site is better preparedness, advice, guidance and resources around the COVID-19 pandemic that inevitably affects us all.
Whilst the peak industry body (AEPMA) has written to politicians, That’s not enough…. it’s time to do more!
Project Pestie is a result of the clash of minds from some members of the Australian Pest Managers Network (APMN facebook) started by Brad Ward – we’ve collaborated to put this all together after being inspired by the British Pest Control Association‘s work. We have adopted much of their content to suit ‘Aussie’, and we sincerely hope it is of benefit to other Pesties here in Australia during this most challenging time. We’ve also gathered and curated some useful information from the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) USA.
If you’d like to contribute resources, content, comments, suggestions, or your time towards this little project please contact us.
Note: This is an evolving site with plenty to come and planned. Check back often.
The advice, guidance, opinions or views published on this site should NOT replace advice given by the Australian Government, State or Territory Government in relation to COVID-19 (Corona Virus).
Please understand that the situation changes rapidly and whilst we make reasonable efforts to keep everything on this site up to date you should not entirely rely upon it.
